First, tell me what you think when you see this picture. Second, what do you notice different. Third, ask, who the heck is this guy?
Well folks, this lovely man is Christofer Drew Ingle from the one man band, Never Shout Never. If you’ve never heard of him, you’re probably learning of him a little too late. Although loved by many young listeners, most refuse to believe he is a changed man. I beg to differ. Drew is 22, apparently is a member of, not one, but 4 bands, and is covered in tattoos. I guess when people say “People change,” they weren’t considering a bad change.
I’m not a hater, I’m just giving a widely accepted opinion. The new Drew is scary to be honest. Here, let me let you read an old song of his. This is one of my personal favorites.
Lyrics to First Dance
Well, it started with your hips
So I moved up to your lips
To take a chance, ask for a dance
‘Cause you’re the cutest thing
On this side of the world
We call our homes, yet I feel so all alone
Half of the time we gotta live
With what we got and I got nothin’
So I pray you take my hand
So we can conjure up somethin’ rad
And you could move on with your life
Just like you do, just like you shooby do do do
But you could make everything alright and I want you to
Because ever since the first dance
All I thought about was lovin’ on you
So I moved to the dance floor
With instincts and nothing more
I had ants in my pants, I did the boogie dance
And there was nothing to do but laugh
So I took another leap
Hoping to sweep you off your feet
I said, “Baby, maybe we could bust this joint
And see if my place is open to chill”
And you could move on with your life
Just like you do, just like you shooby do do do
But you could make everything alright and I want you to
Because ever since the first dance
All I thought about was lovin’ on you
And you could move on with your life
Just like you do, just like you shooby do do do
But you could make everything alright and I want you to
Because ever since the first dance
All I thought about was lovin’ on you

Sweet right? Okay, now lets read a song from another one of his bands, Eatmewhileimhot.
Lyrics to Get Up and Die
You are a couch potato
And you know what we do with couch potatoes
We make them get up and die
(die, die, die)
Get off your sorry behind
And do something with your pathetic life
You have become a parasite
Get up and die
Get up and die
Get up and die
Get up and die
Get up and die
Get up and die
Get up and die
Get up and die
Get up and die
Get up and die
Get up and die
Get up and die
Get up and die
Now that you have woken from your slumber
What do you have to say for yourself?
Doesn’t you feel cool?
(cool, cool, cool)
Getting up off your sorry behind
And doing something with your life
Is something everyone should do
(do, do, do)
Get up and die
Get up and die
Get up and die
Get up and die
Get up and die
Get up and die
Get up and die
Get up and die
Get up and die
Get up and die
Get up and die
Get up and die
Get up and die

Notice a difference? Maybe reading it is not enough for you. Maybe hearing it will be better. Click the two links below and listen to the difference in his voice.
Now do you notice a difference?
So tell me, which do you prefer? I guess it depends on your musical tastes and such, but many would agree that the old Drew was better. New listeners and fans of his know nothing about the greatness he use to produce. Others will say “He is who he is, he sounds the freaking same!” Yeah, okay.
